Undeniable Criminal Defense Success

A great criminal defense begins with a great offense. It is our firm's goal to challenge every aspect of the prosecution's case against you. Whenever possible, we will rely on the law and the Constitution to seek a dismissal of your case before trial. At our firm, this is more than just wishful thinking. Our record speaks for itself. In a first-degree murder case in Livingston County, our client's case was dismissed before the jury trial. In this specific case, law enforcement conducted only a cursory investigation before a charge of first-degree murder. After being retained, our office began a thorough investigation in which overlooked witness testimony was attained and presented to the Commonwealth. After months of defense investigation, the Commonwealth amended the charge to reckless homicide and eventually dismissed the charge completely.

The firm has successfully represented clients facing felony drug trafficking charges in methamphetamines or marijuana, rape charges, criminal sexual conduct cases and homicide cases. This is the type of experience that may help keep you out of prison. Over the past decades, McGee Law Office has defended over 20 homicide cases.

DRUG COURT AND REHAB INSTEAD OF PRISON

Drug courts and rehabilitation centers help drug offenders avoid jail and get into treatment. The Livingston County drug court was one of the first drug courts in the state of Kentucky. The firm has successfully steered qualified clients into drug courts to help them get treatment for addiction and mental health issues rather than go to prison.

At our firm, the goal is to keep clients out of jail using all available legal and ethical strategies and tactics.  When the charges and consequences are serious, we do our best to find alternatives to keep you out of jail or prison.
